چکیده

To conduct ex-situ creole pig conservation programs, it is essential to determine which breeding animals will be used, preferentially those with a more significant Iberian genetic component preserve their origin. This study used Yucatan black hairless pigs (YBHP) subpopulation estimate its diversity and population structure. One hundred four adult were selected for the absence of hair, skin (without spots), hoof, straight snout. The porcine-GGP-50K chip was SNP genotyping in YBHP, information on Yucatán from United States (USYU) taken databases. All analysis performed using PLINK v1.9 v2.1 software. Inbreeding fixation index values lower high observed heterozygosity allogamy values, agree obtained populations Canarias Chato Murciano. According clusters generated by “Genome-Wide Identity State” analysis, groups identified, one included Guadyerbas, USYU, YBHP. Between populations, YBHP closely related Canarias. Principal showed same result. results runs homozygosity investigation, aimed get pools consensus regions overlapping, 119 SNPs associated genes biological processes identified. BMP7 NSUN2 epithelial cell differentiation, morphogenesis, development. For nutrient metabolism: energy, HADHA, PPARA, ADD1/SREBF1, FAT1genes

Karyotype of Hairless Guinea pig

Chromosomal patterns of experimental animals are useful tools for cytogenetics research and animal breeding. Chromosome investigations of the hairless guinea pig are rare, therefore, karyotype of hairless guinea pigs (twelve male and female) was studied using metaphase spreads of bone marrows and G banding techniques. The chromosomes diploid number was 2n= 64 and polymorphism of three type chro...

Genetic structure of the Iberian pig breed using microsatellites.

An analysis of 25 microsatellite loci in 210 animals has been used to define the genetic structure of the Iberian pig, traditionally classified into several varieties. In addition, a sample of 20 Duroc pigs was used as an outgroup for topology trees. Inter-variety genetic variation was estimated by unbiased average heterozygosity and the number of alleles observed. Significant deviations from t...

Genetic Structure of and Evidence for Admixture between Western and Korean Native Pig Breeds Revealed by Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms

Comprehensive information on genetic diversity and introgression is desirable for the design of rational breed improvement and conservation programs. Despite the concerns regarding the genetic introgression of Western pig breeds into the gene pool of the Korean native pig (KNP), the level of this admixture has not yet been quantified. In the present study, we genotyped 93 animals, representing ...

Genetic relationships of five Indian horse breeds using microsatellite markers.

The genetic relationships of five Indian horse breeds, namely Marwari, Spiti, Bhutia, Manipuri and Zanskari were studied using microsatellite markers. The DNA samples of 189 horses of these breeds were amplified by polymerase chain reaction using 25 microsatellite loci. The total number of alleles varied from five to 10 with a mean heterozygosity of 0.58 ± 0.05. Spiti and Zansakari were the mos...
